White Pine Tree Seedlings
Sure to Make a Beautiful Addition to Your Landscape
These White Pine seedlings (also known as Pinus Strobus) may seem small now, but within just a few years they can grow dramatically into the tree of your dreams. They have an average growth rate of 24” a year but can increase to 3.3’ per year when they are between the ages of 15 and 45 years. This makes them perfect for landscaping when you cannot wait twenty years for a tree to grow big enough to use as a windbreak. When fully mature, these trees can be the great height of 50’ to 80’ tall! Some ancient specimens have even grown as tall as 150,’ and they have been proven to live for as long as 500 years. This is an evergreen tree, so it keeps its foliage year round, making a beautiful display for the holidays.
White Pine seedling grows well in all but the driest of climates, although it does better in slightly acidic, moist, and well-drained soil.
These trees prefer at least four hours of direct sun exposure daily but can grow well in full sun exposure too. You can count on these seedlings to feel at home in your yard right away because they are easy to transplant. A variety of birds favorites the pine seeds of these trees, but especially the red crossbills. They are somewhat fire resistant and are safe for people with allergies because they give off little to no scent. They are low maintenance, fast-growing, and retain their needles long after harvesting which makes them perfect as Christmas trees. White Pines can be used as decorative or background trees and can cast great shade depending on their placement. These are the perfect trees to plant in your backyard this season.
White pine tree liners are shipped bare root between mid-November through early-April. They are shipped fast and ready to plant upon arrival.
