    Healthy root, confused about planting

    May 01, 2020 Reviewer: Lindsay B

I received 3 healthy looking roots with this order, sealed in a ziploc bag in a box. I planted them the day of arrival, though it is late in the season so I don't know if I'll see them grow this year. With this plant, it would have been helpful to have instructions on how to plant the root, as it wasn't clear to me what part was the "top". They're more of a long tuber, and the nodes on the root weren't indiciative of being growth shoots. It was hard to tell if I should plant it horizontally or vertically in the ground. I would have been happy if they threw in a post it note with instructions honestly! Otherwise I am very happy with the purchase.

Shipped promptly. Arrived Friday. Planted Sunday after ground dried up to work enough after a rain. Was kept in original packaging until planted. Disappointed with the size of rootstock. Not nearly as robust as the Virginia bluebells we also planted. Hoping these all come up and do well.
