    I have to say that it is really difficult to rate these ferns as they came as measly black strings with roots, some broken up, and whether dead or alive, we will not know until the spring. I was concerned and disappointed when I opened the box. I guess I did not know what to expect. A more detailed effort from the company on planting instructions would certainly be appreciated.

    Received healthy looking roots. Planted them in a pot to help get them started. Already showing growth. Can't wait. Just what I needed for drier shade

    My bare roots arrived looking happy and healthy. We still have frost and snow so they'll incubate inside for a few weeks before I acquaint them with their new home.     I am not an expert at handling bare root plants. I would greatly appreciated a little note of guidance in planting. I'm planting them in pots so I can move them in the spring to where they can thrive.
